This year’s edition of the 2024 Bridge General Assembly (GA) was held in Brussels on April 9 and 10. The event serves as a forum for networking, idea exchange, and interaction among peers involved in BRIDGE projects and Working Groups.
Shift2DC was represented by Hugo Morais, project Coordinator at INESC-ID, who had the opportunity to meet with other peer projects and discuss the methodologies that will be adopted under the recently launched project, business models, data management, regulation, and user engagement.
“It was above all an opportunity to meet friends and colleagues, while discussing collaborations & challenges on different subjects. We were able to present and discuss new achievements, but more than that the Bridge GA is an excellent platform to identify and establish the ground for future collaborations.”, Hugo Morais.
The BRIDGE initiative is structured in four permanent Working Groups (Data Management, Business Model, Regulation and Customer Engagement), responsible for preparing reports and formulating recommendations for the European Commission on various themes linked to the future of the energy sector.
Through the involvement in Bridge activities, the Shift2DC strengthens its commitment to playing an active role in the European energy transition ecosystem by creating smarter, more efficient, and eco-friendly energy systems through a new approach to the way direct current (DC) solutions are used.
