Shift2DC solutions and strategies will be tested in four demonstrators installed in three European countries: two across Germany (Datacenter and Industry), one in France (Building), and one in Portugal (Port) to test medium voltage DC (MVDC) and Low Voltage DC (LVDC) solutions. The demonstrators’ activities are organized in Use Cases (UCs). Additionally, two living labs will be set up to test the developed solutions and algorithms.
Shift2DC Four Demonstrators
Data Centre
The Data Centre Demonstrator, located at the premises of Bachmann (Stuttgart, Germany), will be set up in a container, housing two different compartments both supplied by the same DC distribution grid.
Buildings
The real-life commercial building demonstrator of the Shift2DC project will be developed in France, in a tertiary building that includes PV, EV and DC loads.
Industry
The industry demonstrator will be performed in Germany at EATON/RWTH, where MVDC connection and protection systems will be demonstrated and in PHOENIX, where LVAC/LVDC interface will be tested.
