Shift2DC at the 5th Estonian DC Innovation Workshop (Tallinn)

On November 27th, the Shift2DC project will be part of the 5th Estonian DC Innovation Workshop in Tallinn, Estonia. The event is organized by the i³DC Initiative from the project partner TalTech with Ubik Solutions.

This year’s workshop, titled “Boosting Energy Efficiency, Security & Resilience ” will take place onsite at the TalTech NRG Building (Room NRG-226) and will also be streamed online.

Hugo Morais, the Project Coordinator at INESC ID, will deliver the presentation titled “Shift to DC as a Critical Step Towards Energy Transition” at 2:30 PM (EET).

Other Shift2DC partners will also present including:

– 2:45 (EET) – “Empowering Innovation: Commercial Pathway of DC Solutions”, Ahmad Makkieh (PhD, MIET), Schneider Electric
– 3:00 (EET) – “DC Standardization Status”, Panos Kolios, DC Systems
– 4:30 (EET) – “Safe DC Connector and DC Circuit Breaker with Precharging”, Holger Krings, Phoenix Contact

The i³DC Initiative unites experts from academia, industry, market practitioners, and policymakers to explore the latest advancements and the innovation potential of residential DC microgrids. The workshop fosters an engaging platform for idea exchange and provides a multidisciplinary perspective on energy efficiency and the transformative benefits of DC systems.

The technical program includes representatives of 8 countries who will deliver 17 presentations covering different topics of DC Technology.
